It seems that as everyone in the west is pushing for better security to protect against fundamentalist terrorists, the terrorists themselves have been doing the same. The fruits of this was a publication that was released this week to various jihadist forums and web sites. The publication is what is supposed to be a periodic magazine and is known as "Technical Mujahid" (Al-Mujahid al-Teqany) it was published by al-Fajr Information Center. It was electronically distributed to various password protected forums. It contained articles covering computer and Internet security, it also provided information on various technologies, such as GPS, encryption, data privacy and more. The editors of the publication state that it was written to heed the directives of the Emir of al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, and his call for technical support. More details can be found here at the Search for International Terrorist Entities. |
