Paypal Trip Up With Outsourced CRM Solution |

So we all know the dangers of outsourcing, Microsoft found these out when they outsourced their DNS and it ended up on Linux for a little while. However eBay’s Paypal division has just had one almighty egg splattered over their face when it comes to customer e-mail address privacy.
Msfn.org is reporting (here) that if you modify certain elements of the unsubscribed me URL on the outsourced CRM solution being provided by benchmarkportal.com you can reveal other users e-mail addresses.
We don’t however recommend people do this as it is in theory against the law (at least in the UK). |
