To Apple's credit it the Security fix included in Security Update 2008-005 is more than just the BIND update, it also includes fixes for:

  • Carbon Core - Fixing CVE-2008-2320
  • Core Graphics - Fixing CVE-2008-2321 and CVE-2008-2322
  • Data Detectors Engine - Fixing CVE-2008-2323
  • Disk Utility - Fixing CVE-2008-2324
  • OpenLDAP - Fixing CVE-2008-2952
  • OpenSSL - Fixing CVE-2007-5135
  • PHP - Fixing CVE-2008-2051, CVE-2008-2050, CVE-2007-4850, CVE-2008-0599 and CVE-2008-0674
  • Quicklook - Fixing CVE-2008-2325
  • rsync - Fixing CVE-2007-6199 and CVE-2007-6200
As usual it is recommended that this security update is applied as soon as possible, especially anyone running OS X Server and using the DNS component.
